Growing up with her father a physician and her mother a nurse made choosing a career in healthcare a natural choice for Dr. Francavilla. Learning about patient care has been a part of her world in some way ever since she can remember. Dr. Francavilla’s interest in the field of medicine was solidified after a medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic. She completed medical school in her hometown of Mobile, Alabama. There she met and married her husband, Michael, while in school. They continued their training in Miami, Florida before moving to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Francavilla completed her residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; which combined with her fellowship training in interventional pain resulted in an ideal combination to understand and treat chronic pain of the musculoskeletal system and spine. Dr. Francavilla prides herself in having gentle and steady hands that give excellent pain relief to all her patients.
